Why are Open Standards so important for the interoperability

Interoperability has become very important in the age of information. This presentation shows more detailed information about it and about the role of Open Standards in ensuring it.
Apart from the needed definitions of interoperability etc. the author presents data concerning the implementation of open source solutions in Poland. Enjoy reading!
